Employment

Each summer we recruit only the best of the best to join our team. We look for young adults who are experienced in their activity areas, have a passion for working with kids, and devote their lives to Jesus. The Staff spends a week training together at camp and preparing for campers. Every staff member is up-to-date on CPR/First Aid Certification, familiar with all camp procedures, and equipped with strategies for youth ministry. Other certifications, such as Lifeguarding and High Ropes, are also offered during staff training. You can rest assured that our staff is taking great care of your child and will be a great role model for them.

Sterling Volunteers (formerly Verified Volunteers)

Those over 18 who are voted to serve within our churches or organizations, and those who are employed by the church and working with children and youth, are asked to complete a criminal background check (FB 20) and child protection training through Sterling Volunteers.  It is required for our camp staff to complete the training and background check prior to working at camp. The training and background check must be redone every three years.
